Star Project, daisuki! ^^

OK, so I don't get to play Amnesia :'( And Uta no Prince Sama is out of the list, too. Otome games are hard to come by around here >< ...BUT GUESS WHAT! ((piak~ I FOUND AN ALTERNATIVE! MUAHAHAHAHA~~~ XD

The alternative comes with a name, and its name? STAR PROJECT (hence the title :P).

After a little research on the Wiki and a couple of blog reviews, I found out that it's originally a Korean game. My friend mentioned about this game over a text during the Easter holidays. At first, I thought its a game branching out from Uta Pri (lllOTL), BUT IT'S NOT @@ In fact, even though it isn't, I love it! Simply just filled with lurve for it! XD

It seems that there are multiple websites hosting this game, from the original Korean one, a Japanese version, right down to one that has a Japanese voice-over and English subtitles, the one I'm currently playing, something called Galaxy Games. You'll have to register and make an account before playing the game, as the website ranks players for the Top 500, be it Best Manager or Best Star. Once you have one, you're good to go! ^^

The game first started with the basic name-filling. State your name and the name of your star management company, as you'll be playing as a manager in this series. You'll first encounter a bunch of thugs, all who're after you because your father died in an accident and left you in a load of debt with these guys. Suddenly, a good-looking blonde boy happens to come across this scene, and decides to step in to help the damsel in distress (that's you XD). But his help just makes it lot worse, when he accidentally bashed and damaged the gangsters' boss' car. Oops ._. They took it without their boss' permission, and now that the car's all dented, the boy and you will have to work hard to pay off their debt, double time.

Your star management company building seems to be small and in a messy, degrading, unkempt state, the blonde boy named Touya remarks, since that he, and others in future, can't seem to find the company until they're pointed to this dingy apartment. As Touya wants to sign up to become a star, he will be given a stage name, a name which you can pick whatever that suits him. I call him Toma, lol, though I do think about changing it to Tamaki, like the blonde guy from Ouran High School Host Club, as he resembles him quite a lot. It's also interesting that you get to type out the contract yourself and let him sign it XD

See? See? XD

In the game, you mostly have to level up your star and yourself by playing some mini games, train your star, take up some part-time jobs, and have your star appear in concerts, plays, movies, photo shoots, etc. You even get to date your star in various places like a restaurant or a movie theater :D this improves your star's mood, his attraction to you, along with his chances of succeeding in his work :) though bear in mind that dating in the same place too frequently can lower the percentage of the date to be successful >< As you, your star and his love for you increases, you get to continue the story, scenario after scenario, 31 in total @@ with selections here and there to decide what you'll do in response to the story, just like any otome game, but choose wisely, as some gains nothing, some can increase those love points, while some improves your star's skills or mood. I only reach the 21st scenario TT^TT still a long way to go. But almost there! o>w<o

As you progress in the game, you also get events, which you can replay in your diary. The scenarios can be replayed as well, but the choices you make again in the replay has neutral effect to the game, no points, no nothing. Just past memories. Of course, you also get photos from a scenarios and events, so whenever you need a quick fix of some eye-candy, just open your photo album XD

wow~<3

I like the mini games :D The characters are all chibi in them, kawaii~~~<3 ^^  The games range from part-time jobs like helping out at the bakery by matching three or more pastries or arranging the books in the right order at the bookstore, to stardom training sesh like hitting the right keys for vocal lessons or matching the beat and following the dance trainer's steps. It gets harder as you play a higher level, but higher levels have better rewards, so break a leg! XD watch your energy level, though! You wouldn't want to exhaust your star too much until he passes out! >< The more games you succeed in, your trust points for those NPCs will increase and they'll come to like you :) Have low trust points and they most likely will tell you to leave and not bother them :( Plus, when you receive any appointments on your schedule, make sure you're able to complete them before accepting them. If you haven't fulfill any of the conditions in order to complete the appointments and are not able to finish them in time, 10 trust points will be docked off from the NPC for each broken promise. Better accept whatever you can and decline the rest!

After you work, you get to earn stars, an essential to pay for your training and dates and meals. But special items  and some clothes from the gift shop and clothing store requires gold, which you'll have to purchase online :( That's one feature I dislike from most online games.

The NPCs are interesting, too. I only remember a few names, like Kazuteru Yano, the handsome Speech teacher,

Yuri, the pretty, pink-haired vocal trainer,

Kurisu, the owner of a clothing store, whose trust I haven't fully gain TT^TT ,

and let's not forget, Aoi! Who is like a sister and an advisor to me XD She can help you with the tutorials, though they seem to matter little, since that you'll learn everything in time, with or without her explainations.

I remember Milika the fortune-teller, whose predictions are quite baffling at times @@ She's pretty, but her fortune-telling is just plain confusing :/

The voice overs are out of sync though @@ Maybe it's because I click on the screen too fast :s You only get to hear wisps of them, not the whole thing, sadly :( But have no fear! :D Terashima Takuma, voice actor of Uta Pri's Otoya, also voices as Touya! ^^ (Otoya, Touya, geddit? :P) Kya~<3

Oh yeah! Touya's not the only star! :) There's also Ren, his personality the opposite of Touya's bubbly, naive and outgoing nature. According to the wiki, Touya's a Leo (yay! o>w<o) and Ren's a Scorpio, which explains his cool demeanor @@ He's a guy full of mystery, and is also harsh at times, but that's how characters like him roll :P Apparently, one day, he stops over at your company, wanting to be your finance director or something and help you pay your debt. This is utterly surprising, and you can tell he's the kind of guy who's probably rich and important. You're still thinking this offer over after he left, when suddenly you spy a necklace lying on the floor. At one point, you accidentally drop it and it rolls off to God knows where. Frantically, you search for the necklace, but you can't find it. While you're still finding it, Ren comes back to the company, saying that he dropped something and needs it back. You're in full panic mode, trying to stall him and buy some time before he notices it missing. And that's when you pull out your trump card and make a deal with him, saying that he, instead of becoming their finance director, can work as an entertainer in exchange for the necklace. You can find out more about him and his past as the game progresses XD

Unfortunately, his contract won't last long, only a few days' time, and you have to buy the contract with stars in order to extend his employment. Plus, his scenarios and love points are much harder to earn than Touya's. But then, he is cool and sexy~ I name him Tokiya from Uta Pri, as both display the same cold demeanor XD But then, so do most players XD

It's because he seems so unapproachable, whenever he smiles, it feels reassuring and partially shows that he's not a bad guy :) Even though his jokes and comments can be mean sometimes XD

Doesn't that last picture look like Kagamine Len from Karakuri Burst? XD Hot~<3

At least Ren is more skilled than Touya, who sucks at memorizing scripts, plus I suck at the Memory game, too >< So training him isn't much of a problem.

He's voiced by Ishida Akira, voice actor of Amnesia's very own Kent :))) Could this get any better? XD

Which kiss scene do you prefer? >////<

There are more stars you can manage, actually, but here in Galaxy Games, I don't think they have released all yet, just those two guys, and maybe Torian soon. Torian reminds me of Gackpo from Vocaloid 3 XD Seriously, both are handsome and long-haired, only one's a knight with blue hair while the other a samurai with purple hair. What a match! XD

...definitely a hybrid of Gackpo and Kaito XD

The first time I played Star Project, it took a long time for the game to load, a loooooong time, like, half an hour at the latest! >< I got sick of waiting sometimes, honestly! But then these days it loads pretty quick, even though at times it comes across a few errors and glitches with the system, like how the game's multiple background songs tend to overlap one another, and sometimes I have to reload it when it hangs, but otherwise, it gets OK, probably 'cause I've been playing it frequently and my laptop recognizes it or the game recognizes my laptop or something and got used to each other. Who knows? =w=lll

All I can say is, go play! :D You won't get disappointed if you like otome games! ^^ What do you think of the game? Which character do you prefer, Touya or Ren? ((Tough decision XD

Dinner time! Now which course shall I take? Budget, Standard, or Luxury? :P
